Foster families offer temporary shelter to some of our rescued furballs in the comfort of their own homes. The duration of foster care varies depending on the animal's needs, with some requiring only a few weeks of care while others may need a more extended stay. Fostering is adaptable to various lifestyles and we prioritize ensuring a positive experience for both you and your foster friend by allowing you to select the cat or kitty you wish to foster. By dedicating your time, affection and space to an animal in need, you are making a significant positive impact on their life!

✿ Neonatal Kittens without Mom (Bottle Babies)
✿ Mom cats who are nursing a litter of kittens
✿ Surrendered pets losing their home or family
✿ Cats who are being treated for injuries or illnesses
✿ Cats who are overwhelmed with a multi-cat environment
✿ Cats with behavior issues needing training and/or 1-on-1 support
✿ FIV + FeLV positive cats

How Fostering Works
Furballs of Atlanta provides veterinary care, medication (if prescribed), comfortable bedding and a convenient monthly delivery of food, treats and litter to our foster families. We also offer ongoing support to foster parents to ensure that our foster furballs receive the best care possible. All we ask is for you to create a nurturing, warm, and safe environment filled with love.
After you + your foster friend(s) are settled, we will check in on how they’re doing and request photos/videos to promote their adoption.
*Minimum 2 month commitment — other foster terms are 120 days or until adopted.
