There are many reasons why people may need to surrender their pets, including unexpected financial difficulties, moving to a new home, family conflict, busy work schedules, pet behavior problems and more.
Because of this, we offer a caring and compassionate pet surrender program in a judgement free zone. If you are finding it difficult to maintain the love and care for your cat, please fill out the questionnaire below and our team will be in contact with you shortly.
Things to Note:
When surrendering, FOA does ask for a surrender fee to help care for your cat. The fee is $100 and helps us cover any expenses in preparation for accepting your cat.
Filling out the surrender intake form does not guarantee acceptance as we are currently foster based and have limited space and resources.
If we decline your surrender request for any reason, we will reach out to other local rescue organizations on your behalf for possible intake.
In the event your cat is accepted and surrendered to us, we will then act as the sole responsible party and caretaker.
Severely sick, injured and aggressive behavior cats are less likely to be accepted into our surrender program due to space and budget constraints within our organization. Under these circumstances, we highly recommend contacting other rescue organizations first.
